Let Them Grow

I discovered this blanket of beauty spread out at the edge of the water on the day before my cousin's yardmen came with their mowers. Needless to say, I was charmed, enduring the sciatic pain in my back to get close with my camera. I don't know what they are; I had never seen them there before.

Actually, my entreaty to let them grow was only in my heart. The yardmen have been and gone. I only have this memento of their blooming.
