Swing Bridge in Leith
There are lots of bridges in Leith. It had to be this photo with a leading line for today's blip, but I quite liked some of the others I took today (extras).
This bridge is no longer used, but used to swing to allow ships further into the end of the Water of Leith. There was another swing bridge where Sandport Place runs over the river. The sights and sounds (and presumably smells) of the Shore at Leith must have been incredibly different in bygone days.
