Warwick Blipmeet
An excellent Blipmeet today in Warwick. We were shown around by Blipper sdg92 who told us the best places to visit (and how much it would cost to get in!). After a visit to the impressive church and a bite to eat we headed off to the mediaeval Lord Leycester Hospital which, despite its title, has never been a medical institution but is a charitable institution providing a home for needy ex-servicemen. There was an entrance fee but having arrived as a photography group, they very kindly waived the fee for all of us so long as we promised to send them some of our pictures. One of the residents Bill, an ex-Naval man, put on his uniform and showed us around. He clearly enjoyed having his photograph taken and proved an excellent model. This is him resting between poses!
The Blippers joining in today were:
Lozarithm
FrankS
Hildasrose (and her husband Rob)
JDO
Black Tulip
Tedwin (and Mrs Tedwin!)
sdg92
A very enjoyable day.
