Satok Bridge

Satok /Matang crossing was the main river crossing to the northern side of Kuching. The old Satok Suspension Bridge built in 1926 was able to support a small cars crossing until a modern bridge (Datuk Patinggi Haji Abdul Rahman Bridge) was built in 1975. The old bridge finally collapsed in 2004 after a massive storm. The old support pylon can be seen across the shore.
