Torshavn

Today's visit was to Torshavn in the Faroe islands. It was Sunday and we went to a service at the Salvation Army which was the first place of worship we found. A couple who were visiting from Australia were taking a leading part. He is Australian and she Faroese. He was very good at making sure we knew which hymns were being sung and where the Scripture readings were. Then they did a wonderful address between them in English and Faroese. A very special experience. Later we explored Torshavn and enjoyed the old part of the town where many of the houses have turf rooves.
