birthday boy

A great day feeling much more back to normal, and enjoying getting back to normal life at long last. 

Then this afternoon the boy, Christie, and his mum and stepdad came by for cake and ice cream and birthday presents - he is sixteen today. 
Here he is dwarfing his little aunty even more than he did last year, while baby cousin Freddie smiles for the camera as always (last year he was a tiny secret known only to a few of us, and the reason for her smug smile).
Christie went off happily with his birthday money, intent on now buying the parts to make a second drone, this time a racing one.
