Sant Antimo Abbey

When we visited Sant Antimo Abbey last September, I wasn't sure if it would be my last visit. We knew that most of the Monks were leaving and were not sure if it would remain open to the public. It has, and we were able to visit. 

This year's Tuscany workshop was a little short on poppies compared to other years. So I couldn't resist this shot with a few poppies in the foreground, the old Olive tree on the left (it's thought to be around 2000 years old) and the abbey on the left. A grad filter helped the sky, but a little work was still needed in processing to lift the shadows in the abbey and recover the highlights in the sky.
