Point of Ayre
Out to Deerness and a walk from Point of Ayre along Newark Bay to Geo looking for migrant birds. Six wheatears, three bonxies, two swallows and a pair of sandwich terns were the new arrivals among the residents and wintering birds. The weather was pretty changeable- frequent squalls of hail and snow. I sat in a little cave below the Point where I had my coffee protected from the elements. Lots of fulmars about and black guillemots, eider, shags, shelduck, teal, redshanks, turnstones etc. The extra photo is a fierce but dead beast I found on the shore.
