Red-tailed Hawk Surprise!

I headed out a little late this morning to do a bit of birding, but decided to check out some areas that I used to frequent, but had not checked out lately.  As I approached the pond, I caught this red-tailed hawk out of the corner of my eye sitting on the ground right next to the sidewalk where I was walking.....whoa, almost didn't see him!  He was very still and I was able to take photos for at least 15 minutes, even after he flew to a beautiful flowering tree about 20 feet away.  You live for these photo opportunities :)
