White faced heron having a very bad hair day

Lovely morning spent with kiwianna, looking for birds - thanks to huge earthworks going on where they often are the birds were very unsettled. However we saw the usual gulls, a variable oystercatcher, terns, pied shags, feral pigeons, and swallows, as well as this one. A great morning!

And thank you to all the people who left stars, hearts and comments on my spoonbill yesterday - can't believe I've had two photos on the front page this week - very exciting.
