On the road, in the wet

After the last few days of 37C - a heatwave even by Singapore standards - the heavens opened this afternoon. On days like this, the island's legendary efficiency goes to pot; it took me 40 minutes to get a taxi, then the trip to the airport took twice as long as usual.

I amused myself by taking photos out of the rain-spattered taxi window, defocusing to try to give them an abstract/impressionist look. I really felt for this poor chap on a motorbike!

And in the extras: when I arrived at Changi airport, I was shocked to encounter nooodles that were immoral or unchaste, merciless, unrestrainedly excessive, or undisciplined!!!
