Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!
I wandered down the Kings Road this morning. Coffee at Partridges in the spring sunshine and then a look round the Saatchi Gallery.
The gallery is hosting EXHIBITIONISM. Taking over the entire two floors with over 500 original artefacts, it provides a striking insight into the Rolling Stones' fascinating fifty-year history.
It is by far one of the best exhibitions I have seen with dressing room and backstage paraphernalia, rare instruments; original stage designs, iconic costumes, rare audio tracks video footage, personal diaries, posters and not forgetting Mick's dressing room barber's chair which travelled the world and the Ya Ya donkey.
Sadly, photographs were not allowed inside and the gallery police were quite prominent.
I wish they would now do something similar for Bowie.
Back from the warm spring sunshine of London to the cold and sleet of Leeds this evening. Good to bump into Jill - a former work colleague - outside Kings Cross Station and have a catch up on the train.
More Exhibitionism in the extras.
