Bennachie from Strathorn.....

Our walking group today braved the cold and wind and intermittent snow showers to walk from Old Rayne to Pitcaple along the ancient Strathorn  Road, five miles of glorious views of Bennachie, of many horses, the Old Logie Kirkyard and a standing stone and stone circle or two.  Not at all bad for a shorter walk than normal. We finished off by visiting the Pitscurry Project and some even dropped into the Buzzard Café for coffee and a fine piece! I enjoyed the day immensely but by the time I got home had succumbed to the gastric flu bug that's laid hubby low all week.
