Abstract Thursday : : Leaf
Abstract: dissociated from reality
The striped leaves of the calla lily are quite abstract on their own; especially the ones that are unfurling. I blurred the reality a bit more.
Bits of conversation overheard in passing can be quite abstract sometimes. I passed three young men with the waistbands of their pants in the vicinity of their knees. The way they had to walk to keep their pants on at all was certainly abstract. They were carrying what we would have referred to in the 80's as a 'boom box' blasting out a full decibel count. All I heard was one of them saying to another one, "what?".
The window of a shop had a glass fronted case with a full size skeleton folded up inside. Above it hung an anatomical chart. On top of the case were a geode, a picture of a butterfly and a doll. Poster mailing tubes marked 'vintage school charts' leaned against the case which had an elaborately beaded runner with cowrie she'll edging hanging from it. My impression was that a definite message was intended, but the meaning of it was abstract. My picture, taken through the window is in the extras.
Some days are just like that anyway…
