The Bird

The common name of the South African Native Strelitzia genus is the "Bird of Paradise", and this is the best name for this wonderful flower. It is also known as the Crane Flower in it's native home.

I recall this plant growing at my parents home and I was, as a small child, amazed by the beauty of the flower.  

I can never be tied of this flower.
