Cangshan Mountain
Our guide took us up a cable car and we walked down from here. At 2600m altitude the uphill sections were quite hard work. We are heading up to 3200m over the next few days so we need to acclimatise.
Many parts of the walk were very similar to walking in Cumbria. This pool is created where a large waterfall forms in the rainy season. Currently it is the spring where the river arises.
We got caught in a fairly spectacular rainstorm but that didn't stop us. Fortunately the sun came out later. We are now back at our hotel recovering from yet another enormous lunch. We told our guide we wanted a light snack but meals only seem to come in huge size here.
