Blossom

Our pear tree is finally opening its blossom, it seems to have been in bud for ages, but I think it got fed-up of waiting for warmer weather (aren't we all!).  Providing we don 't have any frost it should produce a good crop of pears if the quantity of blossom is any indicator.

And the day came when it became more painful to remain in a tight bud than the risk it took to blossom.
