Under threat

This is the view we have had from our bedroom window for almost 31 years. Apart from a year when Bob who used to live in the house gave the willow an almighty haircut, we have had the pleasure of seeing the glowing foliage every spring.
Alas Bob's widow passed on last year and the family have decided to sell the house. The large garden is a magnet for developers and they are out in force. Despite the garden being outside the village envelope we doubt that a development will be refused on appeal and that means the willow will probably be cut down, but if not will be hidden behind some new property.
