Town & Country in the Energy Challenge

Two very different energy challenges today:

a) fruit and wine growers fighting their nightmare of a cold spell, as minus temperatures can destroy the bloom. Here just a small orchard, using the so called 'frost candles' to heat up the lowest layers of cold air and spraying water. In other areas they even used helicopters to circulate warmer air layers towards the ground. Click here to see some impressive pictures of it.
 
b) the Energy Challenge 2016 currently taking place in Zürich (see extra) in which 9 cities play against each other about energy efficiency.
