The View from my Office

A trip down memory lane today.

Before we had the girls - so that's nineteen years ago - I used to guard Talyllyn trains regularly, usually on quiet, out of season days.  Days when you had time to talk to all the passengers and to soak up the beauty of the landscape.  (See extra pics)

Today, I did just this again, on my own, no assistant or trainee, for the first time since then.  We had plenty of weather along the way, finishing in glorious sunshine.  I'm not much of a train buff, I just have a special affinity with this railway, the countryside it passes through and the sense of timelessness that days like this evoke.

Hopefully the pictures will help you understand.
