Pen work

From time to time I get asked to do pet portraits. I don't do them often enough to get REALLY good. But they are ok.

And each time I start on a dark haired pooch I forget how much blooming pen work goes into it.

Got so much more to do on this chap. Lots of layers of jet black watercolour over his fur, detailing and colour to the eyes. And then I need to place his pal next to him.

Sounds like I am whinging a bit, but I really do enjoy it.
