Tufted

Golden tufts lure weary travellers for a wayside rest.  I dislike these prickly pear cactus with a passion!  They look like they'd be wonderful to caress, but I know, just like I know the stove burner is hot, that touching one wouldn't be a pleasant experience...but there's a part of me that really, really wants to touch it...
