Busy Bee

A beautiful, dry day.

Took a relaxing stroll through the New Town, into Stockbridge and along to the Botanics.

I love the variety of photo opportunities there - a cornucopia of colours, shapes, textures, objects... It's a wonderful place for pressure free photographic experimentation.

There were a couple of other contenders for today's Blip, but I liked this nectar collector - vivid colours and an interesting subject.

In other news, apparently someone called Louise Ciccone is doing an up close and personal performance in one of town's more intimate venues tonight - can't say I've ever heard of her...
