1500 not out
1500 days ago, on the 23rd of March 2012, I posted my first Blip. It was called "A Time to Sow" and was a photo of a few dull brown broad beans.
"Planting a seed is investing in the future" I wrote then, and how right I was. The seed of my first Blip photo has grown and grown, and now I am reaping the harvest.
Back in those days, when I was still recovering from my horrible bike accident a year before (when I broke my neck, face and fingers), I took all my photos with my phone. I just wanted to record the everyday life which seemed suddenly very precious.
Now I am using a "proper" camera and I'm nearly at the end of an HND in Photography at college.
During my four years of Blipping, "Life!!"! has gone on, although some things have changed - all three children left home, my best friend died, D retired, one dog left our lives and another came to join us.
I have made some great "virtual" friends on Blip - thank you all for your support and encouragement and for taking the time to look and leave comments. Thanks also to my family and friends who are now used to being my (usually) willing subjects.
I couldn't stop now, even if I tried...
