Blipper blipped
This is the week-end of the Wikipedia/Wikimedia Commons photo week-end. Starting with camera basics (you'd think I'd be able to master ISO, AV, TV by now but my brain still goes to mush) the group then set off on a photo walk up and around Calton Hill. And who did we see coming along Royal Terrace but Kensie and Jack the "Blipper". Much clicking of cameras as the whole group took some photographs of the two horses and their riders. It's probably the last time I'll see the horses as they head off west in less than 2 weeks.
By the time we got to the top of the Hill the sun was out and we managed to see the time ball fall and hear the gun fire. Then after a late lunch at Vittorio's it was back to the Library to crit our photos and hear about the Wikimedia Commons project, of which more tomorrow.
It was a really good day with good company and a bit of education and exercise thrown in for good measure. Tomorrow it's off to the RBGE. I anticipate many photographs of squirrels.
#3 son is still laid up. #2 son is rightly miffed because I forgot he was doing 'Tough Mudder' at Drumlanrig last week-end. Oh dear, what a bad mum I am. I can't track down any of the pictures of him in his muddy mini kilt either.
And well done Bradley and Chris. All my years of supporting Le Tour have finally paid off. Just wish I could be on the Champs Elysees tomorrow.
Now off to make apple crumble.
