... of the Yorkshire Warrior challenge. Not only did these intrepid participants have to wade through the stream, at the end of a gruelling course, but the hail stones were pelting them from on high.

I didn't go out intending to photograph the event but came across it by accident and, because the traffic leaving the event was so heavy, I decided to stay for a while and take some shots. I ended up with a selection of images (see extras) and, at one point, a pocket full of hail stones.
