Through the Val Roseg towards Piz Bernina

We had a wonderful day walking through the valley where the glacier once was, battling against strong winds sweeping down from the tops, enjoying the company of our lovely local friend Erna, and gazing up at the classic snow ridge, the Biancograt, leading to the summit of Piz Bernina (best seen in extra).
The round trip was 20 km. It wasn't our intention to go that far, but when the sun is shining and skyline is so dramatic we couldn't resist walking a little bit further.
