National Wallace Monument.
Taken from near Bannockburn (all this Scottish history, right on the doorstep!) and sitting on the top of another ancient volcanic plug, similar to the castle but smaller.
Extra today is of bluebells- genuine Scottish ones at that - alongside a woodland walk on the edge of the Ochil hills. There should be lots more but the wood and was opened up and more undergrowth is overwhelming these wee flowers. Shame, really!
