Rainbows

After a morning of paperwork and the usual weekend domestic stuff, MrM and I set out for Alnwick and the supermarket shop.

Then for a walk on the beach at Warkworth with Louie The were some heavy rain showers as we travelled, and several wonderful rainbows, including this double rainbow near Alnmouth. The photo's a bit wonky and not quite in focus as it was taken from the moving car!

We didn't stay on the beach for long as the rain started - but we'll definitely go back. A fabulous beach with a good view of Coquet Island (extra). There's a large area of marshland beside the path to the beach, where we watched an egret hunting for food.

On to Amble,  where we walked on the pier in bright sunshine. Some fabulous views of the harbour (extra), and cliffs down the coast. 

Home to unpack the shopping. Now for an early night - setting the alarm for 4.15am tomorrow!
