Kind of Dull, Kind of Blue
A kind of a dull, cool day today. Gina and I went for a bike ride. After lunch, I went to kelbyone.com and watched some of the Jay Maisel videos that Scott Kelby had done. Jay, the great photographer, spent several days with Scott in Paris. Jay Maisel is in his 80s and of course has a wealth of knowledge and has presented quite an interesting set for other photographers to view.
In his stellar career, Maisel made the image for what many consider the greatest jazz album ever made, Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue". He said he shot the picture from the audience and really had no interaction with Miles.
So here is the vinyl record album cover juxtaposed against the video of Jay Maisel being interviewed in Paris.
