Lee Valley Velopark road circuit

My attempt to run ten one mile laps of the Velopark road circuit ended four laps short due to an extremely painful hip injury. The track is part of the impressive cycling facility which forms part of the Olympic legacy at Stratford. I'm sure the track is great fun to cycle on but the relentless ups and downs, compounded by the tedium of covering the same ground each mile, made it a really tough run for me. As much as I don't like to drop out of events early, I think if I'd carried on things would have got a lot more painful! This photo shows a view of the Velodrome from the circuit.
