The hill
A mile closer than the usual shot from the deck. Missed blips: hovering hawk; mule deer.
The day started the usual way with Boodi chasing around the bed at first light (that is about 04:30 these mornings). Snapped another close-up in case I didn't release a shutter again later in the day. Fussed about feeding the cats and getting ready for the day which included mailing some medications to Kathy who is staying in California longer than expected. Luckily our Post Office opens for just an hour and a half on Saturday mornings; unluckily it doesn't open until 09:30 and this morning I had to be at a funeral Mass by ten so I was in a bit of rush and ended up playing all sorts of wrong notes. After lunch I dozed fell asleep watching the last Quatermass film that Hammer made in 1967; Quatermass and the Pit released in the US as Five Million Years to Earth
Then had to go out as I'd run out of tea supplies and I do like a pot of tea in the afternoon.
This evening PBS is showing another episode (1945-1980) of Ken Burns documentary about the "best idea America had" - the National Parks and Monuments.
