WETLANDS WONDER....

....popped down to my private wetlands just as the last of the sun from another beaut autumn day was about to disappear for the day.

After a really extended dry spell the wetlands badly needs some water and found this egret  (later update) heron (see extra) wading in the mud. It took off into the tree and sat there in the light looking at me take it's photo then off for the day.

On the way out saw this hover fly (see extra) and caught it as it sat on a twig, liked it in the computer with the way the light and DOF have worked.
