Race Day

A cold cloudy start, brightening a little, but a cold wind.

This morning is the III Carrera de la Mujer  de El Ejido.   A 6km or 3km run or walk.   We chose to do the 3km walk!!   It costs €5 to enter and we all get a T'shirt and a drink and fruit afterwards.   I am not actually too sure what it is in aid of but have a contact at the IMD to ask.   

The photo is of some of our AMA group who entered, a number of whom go to my Pilates class as well.

The runners are mostly serious, there is a podium set up for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.   I expect they get a medal.

I entered the first one in 2014, but not last year as I had a problem with my foot, so it was good to get back to it this year.

A good bit of fun to raise money is always enjoyable.
