Mayday on the Pier

Finally the sun shines, finally the pier is open again after 10 years! A really nice idea to have the Morris dancers, who are here for the Jack in the Green festival tomorrow, to appear on the pier on a lovely sunny Sunday. Jack in the Green is a spring fertility event with a touch of the 'Wicker Man' thrown in. Lots of Morris dancing and lots of beer consumed.
The pier is up and running. It's a bit minimalist at the moment (see extra pics) but it's very much a work in progress; a great place for a day like today.
