Run

The overnight rain having given way to hazy sun, I went for a run after breakfast. I'm not used to running on Colonsay, and such is its scale that a short cut took me one peninsula south of my aim. It didn't matter: it was fun just to run over undulating grass, heather, rock and sand dunes, navigating back to the cottage using familiar landmarks.

Picture shows the isle of Oronsay across the Strand, which is crossable at low tide, but not on this trip. Another day, for we take the ferry at seven o'clock.
