M for May

Haven't been on blip much recently. We have been up to the eyes in the momentous process of buying a new house and selling our old one. We have now taken possession of the new (new only to us, since it was built in 1927), and had the promise to buy signed by the purchasers of the old. We were going through the new house today with the electrician who will do the rewiring when we noticed the wrought-iron work on the front door for the first time, with the light shining through the glass into the hall. The house was built by a Monsieur Mansou and is now owned by a Monsieur May. And there is a certain satisfaction in that symbolic turn of fate.
