Day 122 of 366 - The Altar in the ruins!
Today's image was taken this afternoon in the Cathedral Quarter of Coventry City centre. The view which was taken in the Ruined Cathedral of St Michael is looking towards the Altar in the Sanctuary area. On top of the Altar there is a cross made from charred roof timbers that were found in the rubble the day after the Cathedral was destroyed in the blitz during the Second World War.
The photo was taken using the App VividHDR on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Lightroom to edit the picture. I cropped and straightened the image, then I added the Dynamic colour preset. I then boosted the Clarity and details of the image and added some extra Saturation and vibrance. Next I used snapseed to change the perspective of the view. I then used the app Painteresque to add a custom version of the Painteresque 2 paint preset. I added some extra texture to the image using DistressedFX. This was done with the Stirred overlay and the Lade texture. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Tone preset, a small dark vignette. I then added the Canvas texture and the Charcoal frame.
