Glendalough

We drove out to Glendalough today. It's a very old site of a monastery with quite a few buildings and a couple of churches. The round tower left of centre is one of only a few in Ireland. When it was built both monks and nuns lived there. Apparently there was no rule of celibacy at the time. It must have been quite lively :-)
