Diary of an Edinburgher

Bold as ...

Archie's still not sure about the new brassy bit - I had to push him out the door last night, and eventually lifted him over it. When we came back, he stood and examined it carefully. He's still unsure, but does a silly big hop over it. Daft dog.

Camila was due to come and take Archie for the day to 'help' her studying - she's missed him while she's been visiting family in Tanzania. She had to cancel because she's in hospital with malaria!! OMG! Poor girl.

We both went to the gym - JR came back looking as if she really did have a proper workout. I didn't. Today was more painful than usual because I forgot my headphones and I had to listen to their heavy metal for quite a while until I asked a friendly looking coach who was cleaning the machine next to me if he had any 'decent' music. He did go and change it and then took quite an interest in my efforts (I think he was bored). Of course, I told him my 'knee news' and then he kept coming round advising me on this and that.

JR went into town in the afternoon, and I took Archie up the Hill. We met up with Bailey and her mum. We were away up the slope when we heard J's voice, and the two dogs went racing towards each other. They haven't seen each for ages. What fun they had!

So here's Archie, eying up the very brassy step with suspicion. I left him like that while I wandered into the house to get my camera, and he was still there when I came back. Wonder what"s going through his wee mind...
