Mum received her present with a happy smile. She had forgotten it was her birthday and even asked who had painted it. I still find it hard to accept that she has lost so much in the last few years. She did have a very high IQ and did the Observer crossword with little help from Dad and occasionally her sister, brother and their spouses. I was not on that list you can see!

She is happy where she is and Dad sits beside her. We are very fortunate to still have them both and count ourselves very lucky.
