A Trip To Shore Acres State Park

Today we went to the beautiful Shore Acres State Park to hear the "White Rhino Marimba Band" performing their upbeat dance music from Zimbabwe and West Africa. It was a bit foggy at times, but was an overall, beautiful day. We enjoyed listening to the music, watching many dance to the music. It was great fun. Then we walked around and enjoyed the beautiful flowers. Lots of bees enjoying the sweet nector. Even tiny 'newbees'. The yellow flower is quite small so you can see how tiny the bee was. Maybe 1/4" long. The center of the flower was about 1" wide. Many were blowing bubbles and it was fun trying to get one in a picture before the kids popped it. Whew, I made it!! Also told hubby and daughter blipper 'DLS' to dance for a picture. Well, you can see they did not cooperate too well. :-) We got a wonderful sunday with raspberrys and chocolate while there. Mmmmm good. Ended the time by going to Charleston and having a nice sandwich or fish and chips. Just a great day.
