Road trip

Joel and I went to southern Indiana today (about a 4 hour trip from our house) to visit with a cousin of mine that I haven't seen since I was a kid. I took him the last of my dad's genealogy stuff that pertained to his side of the family. We drove past all the old homesteads, paid our respects at the cemetery where my great grandparents are buried and had a tasty lunch at the local diner. Which, as you would expect, was the place I decided to leave a little beanie bomb. The elephant, donchaknow, since tomorrow we vote.

Interestingly, there were virtually no political signs in people's yards as we drove through the state. We thought it surprisingly odd given the rancor of the current campaign.
