Dubrovnik harbour

An overcast morning but lovely and warm so we had a boat trip around the harbour and the nearby island. The views were beautiful. The sun then came out for a while so we found the most beautiful bar, built the other side of the specify wall overlooking the sea, with just a tiny doorway through the wall to get to it. Sitting there with a coffee (and then a beer!) was just the most perfect way to spend an hour or so.
This afternoon we decided to get the bus up the coast to a town called Ston, which is famous for the biggest city walls in Europe. The rain started when we were nearly there but we oersisted with our walk around the walls - and they are huge, going right up the mountainside. By the time we came down it was pouring with rain so we sheltered for a while in a bar, but then braved it a rain and walked to Mali Ston, a village about a mile away. We has the most beautiful meal there - I had fish, but annoyingly can't remember the name of the fish! Walked back in hammering rain to the bus and it then continued to pour al, evening.
Never mind - we had a lovely day.
