Another unknown seed pod

Picked these 2cm pods up from my sisters some time ago. She had no idea what the tree was they came from. I have been waiting for them to dry off.
They have dried to a rather nice red with red tufts and are as hard as a board.
An extra to show the back of them.

Odd thing happened. I uploaded to blip about 4pm, just had a look 8pm and nothing there so doing it again. They were both there originally and yes I published.
