Wildflower Meadow update...
The guy who we loftily refer to as the 'gardener' came today. What he actually does is cut the grass. We have a lot of it and it can take up a lot of time. Having Pete do it frees us up to do the more fun jobs in the garden (I've had some fun taking various cutting implements to some overgrown shrubs) and he makes a living by helping us, and others, out. So we're all happy.
After he'd done I had a wander around the garden to see what needs some attention. I've made a list of shrubs that need a bit of a trim. And there's an out of control bramble making its way through one of the beds so it will be war on that.
I did notice that my potted wildflower 'meadow' has started to germinate. I did this last year and it was very successful. Here's where we are at the moment. You can just see some tiny, green shoots.
In the extra picture you can see the entirety of my potted meadow.
