CannyScot's Day

Bottle Brush plant

A bright, sunny day, a wee bit warmer nut a stiff breeze.

Eleanor spent the morning doing Admin work for Maggies Centre. I met her for lunch at the Botanical Gardens and managed to get a few nice photos from the Hot House area. The main blip is of a Bottle Brush plant (Callistemon) and the extra photo is a Clavia Miniata. The common name of the Clavia is 'Kaffir Lily' but 'Kaffir' is a rather offensive name in South Africa and probably best not to be used these days.

If you would like to see a few of the photos from the Gardens, you might like to have a look at my Flikr Album here.
