Two male Mallards on Windermere. Let's hope the females are sitting on nests and that there will be lots of ducklings soon.

I seem to be very busy at the moment and there's little time for walking or  the computer. Fortunately I can get to the lake and back in about 45 minutes and a blip is usually guaranteed. 

I started the day with ironing then decided to wash bedding. Some essential gardening jobs as well including splitting a hosta. 

A new garden visitor today so out came the bird book for identification. It's a Redpoll ....... first time I've seen one.
