Tiny Tuesday

These are some tiny new shoots on my dwarf Japanese maple that I bought yesterday. They do well in pots so I think I will leave it in its pot for a while and put it on the patio. The leaves are very striking and provide changing colour from spring to autumn. I rather like its name - it is called Beni Maiko and means red dancing girl. I rather like the sound of having a red dancing girl on my patio.
