Wood sorrel
Wood sorrel Oxalis acetosella, is a common woodland plant found across the UK though less commonly in the east . It is a deliciously delicate white colour with pale purple veins, and pale green heart shaped leaves.
One of my all time springtime favorites and a good indicator of old woodland.
I have also included a shot of the beautiful St Mary's church Petworth with it's surrounding flowering cherry trees.
